we believe we all have a role to play in achieving the hmv vision.  So we ensure that all colleagues have a clear understanding of their role and have the development and training they need to perform at their best and get the most out of their time at hmv.

 

a fantastic induction

on starting, you will receive an innovative induction programme including online learning, you’ll get to see our show stopping induction dvd as well as receiving an invite to an induction workshop called ‘get closer’

regular performance reviews


we’ll make sure you get regular reviews with your manager including an annual performance development review, called pdr.  What’s more, if you are highlighted as an ‘expert’ in your pdr, we guarantee you a workshop or other development activity to help you progress further.

fast track development


we believe in promoting people from within and the fast track programmes are there to make sure that, if you have the talent and the desire, then we will support your progress into management.  Over the past 3 years, more than 700 people have completed one of the four levels of fast track programmes available.

professional qualifications 


if you are interested in obtaining a formal qualification that is related to your role, we have a very generous sponsorship policy that means we will pay for you to complete your qualification and give you time off work to study and sit your exams.
