what do you love about working for hmv?

the variety in the role. Sometimes I can be answering a query on a Gift Card balance, liasing with stores or organising nights out for the team. Every day has a new challenge.

why did you want to work for hmv?

always admired the brand power of the company. I used to work for an Independent music chain and the struggle was always trying to embrace changes within the industry. hmv have always been able to embrace changes with success.

what is your inspiration?

Joy Division- Transmission

what do you always have on your desk?

a postcard of Eric Bana in Troy, a picture of Noel Fielding, Diet Coke, selection of CD’s and hand cream.

Yasmin's story

I’m a senior Customer Service Advisor and ensure calls/letters and emails are answered in a timely and polite manner.   I am responsible for communicating weekly and daily results to the business and will challenge stores on results, dealing with store queries accordingly.  I help manage and support the team so they can provide the best service possible to our customers.

without customers there is no hmv - so Customer Service has always been the area I’m particularly interested in. There are always opportunities to further your ability whether via training or career development.
