Andreas' story

I started off as a christmas temp, at the Brent Cross store and was kept on as a games buyer. I was then lucky enough to be promoted to senior sales assistant and then supervisor. My role involves overseeing the audio & games sections, which includes running replenishment, best-seller and catalogue reports. I am also responsible for ordering stock, checking merchandising is fresh and commercial and supervising the team around me.

my proudest achievement was in 2007/08 whilst at Brent Cross when we had the best ever single day in December (£86,000), which beat December's budget by £260,000, and winning the grade 3 store of the year.

why did you want to work for hmv?

i left school without a clue what to do careers wise, and my one big passion was music in general (and Bowie in particular) and I sort of fell into the job and found I loved it.
